In a significant academic achievement, Ms Shilpa Kumari Rajak, Faculty Member in the Department of Management Studies at Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Professional Management and Technology (SSIPMT), Raipur, has co-authored a research paper titled "Deep Learning-Based Camera Settings Optimization", published in the internationally recognized ShodhKosh: Journal of Visual and Performing Arts (ISSN: 2582-7472).
The research presents an advanced deep learning framework capable of automatically optimizing camera settings such as exposure, ISO, aperture, and focus to enhance image and video quality under diverse real-world conditions. Unlike conventional camera systems that rely on fixed rules and manual adjustments, the proposed AI-driven model intelligently analyzes scene characteristics and predicts the most suitable camera parameters in real time.
The study demonstrates substantial improvements in image sharpness, color accuracy, exposure balance, noise reduction, and video stability, making it highly relevant for applications in photography, cinematography, mobile devices, surveillance systems, robotics, and autonomous technologies. The framework also integrates multi-task learning and sensor-based information to improve adaptability across challenging lighting and motion conditions.
Published in the Special Issue on Digital Preservation and Intelligent Innovation in Traditional and Modern Arts, the paper reflects the growing role of artificial intelligence in transforming digital imaging technologies and advancing intelligent visual systems.
Ms Rajak collaborated with researchers from prestigious institutions across India, including Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (Chennai), Pimpri Chinchwad University (Pune), AAFT University of Media and Arts (Raipur), Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (Pune), and Noida International University.
