Raipur: Prof. (Dr.) Umesh Gupta, Professor and Dean of the School of Business and Management Studies & Research at MATS University, Raipur, has established a distinguished career spanning approximately 25 years in higher education, academic administration, teaching and research. With extensive experience in the fields of management, commerce, accounting and finance, Dr. Gupta has made significant contributions to academic development and institutional governance.

Dr. Gupta has been associated with MATS University since 2012 and currently serves as Professor and Dean of Management and Commerce. Prior to joining MATS University, he served as Head of Department at Disha College, Raipur, for nearly a decade and began his teaching career as an Assistant Professor at Mahant Laxmi Narayan Das College, Raipur.

He has served as Chairman of the Vice-Chancellor Search Committee appointed by the Hon'ble Governor of Chhattisgarh for MATS University. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, with research on the collection and distribution of paddy in Chhattisgarh with special reference to Raipur district. He holds a Master of Commerce and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the same university.
